The 2016 Wellness Show is coming!
If there’s anything at all to look forward to in February, it’s the annual Wellness Show in Vancouver. This year is the 24th and, while we haven’t gone every year, my wife and I have visited for at least the last 10 years. It has certainly grown over the years, and on 2016 is held at the Vancouver Conference Centre at the foot of Burrard Street.
Certainly the calendar placement is a great one: In the middle of February, when everyone’s willpower is wearing thin and those New Year resolutions are in danger of being dropped! You can pick up advice, tips and merchandise concerning a whole array of health related products that will definitely make a difference to you if you add them to your everyday routines.
Once again, ‘The Organic Market’ will highlight some wonderful organic and natural products carried in Nesters Market stores – one of the favourite stops on the shopping trips of every foodie in the Lower Mainland. There are scrumptious, free samples of some of the delicious healthy foods found at Nesters Market stores. You will surprise yourself with the amount of Health Food you will fall for.
Talking of Food, the Cooking Stage is back: This stage features top chefs including BC Restaurant Hall of Famer Hidekazu Tojo and executive chefs from Vancouver's hottest new ‘locavore’ restaurants including Mission and Juniper. Learn healthy recipes from the best in BC - sourced from BC's best and most sustainable ingredients. Local cookbook Author Jennifer Browne ("Happy Healthy Gut", "Vegetarian Comfort Foods", and "The Good Living Guide to Medicinal Tea”) will be making healthy vegan and allergen-free snacks for kids on our new Healthy Families Workshop Stage. She would be great to talk to how to get kids to eat healthier.
The Wellness Show isn’t all about Healthy eating, either. “Sexpert” Maureen McGrath will be giving a talk at the show called Building Resilience: The Challenges, Business and World of Sex. She would be incredibly interesting to interview on the topic of sex and wellness. If that doesn’t turn your crank, then you can experience the latest fitness craze in Vancouver: - BalletFit. Suzy Kaitman of the new Ballet Lounge, opening late Feb 2016, would be more than happy to talk about why BalletFit is so fun and addicting, and why it¹s good for you, too! There is a huge range of educational, and fun, seminars on all areas of healthy living, nutrition, and your physical and emotional well-being.
For just the two of you, or the whole family, just one day spent at The Wellness Show will not only give you ideas on how you can make your everyday life better, but will give you all the facts in how to get the foods and other items you need and how to incorporate them onto your busy days.
The Wellness Show runs from February 12 – 14 at the Vancouver Convention centre (So it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day gifts that she will love…and are good for her!), and all of the details you need are here:
